Job Title: Senior Procurement Specialist
Location: Peterborough, UK
Hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (Depending on Experience)

You’ll take ownership of supplier relationships, cost control, and procurement strategy, helping to drive business growth and operational efficiency within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing
5. Develop and implement procurement strategies in line with business objectives
6. Identify and evaluate domestic and international suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets
Supplier Management
7. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
8. Lead supplier performance reviews and negotiate contracts and pricing agreements
Cost Management
9. Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
10. Conduct market analysis to identify trends and cost opportunities
Team Support & Development
11. Manage and mentor one procurement team member
12. Help build a collaborative, high-performance procurement function
Compliance & Risk Management
13. Ensure procurement practices meet company policies and industry regulations
14. Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks
Cross-Functional Collaboration
15. Work closely with engineering, production, and project teams to support business objectives
16. Ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing for projects
Candidate Profile
17. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a procurement/purchasing role, ideally in manufacturing or automotive
18. Proven negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing skills
19. Strong communication, leadership, and time-management abilities
20. Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office
21. Ambitious and proactive with a desire to grow into a leadership role
