Senior Design Engineer – Either - Glasgow, Dewsbury, St. Albans, Wolverhampton Salary £58,000 per annum 7.5% Bonus The Senior Engineer will play a pivotal role in leading and managing engineering projects, contributing to the successful execution of projects and the reputation of the company. Their expertise and leadership will have a direct impact on project outcomes, team development, and overall business success. To produce and check temporary works designs of medium to high complexity and to contribute to team development through training/mentoring and ensuring compliance with the latest standards and codes or practice. Prepare temporary works designs for medium to high complexity groundworks, formwork & falsework and/or propping and jacking schemes, including the preparation of calculations, design risk assessments, drawings and kit lists. Check medium to high complexity (with assigned competency on Launchpad) temporary works designs developed by other design engineers Manage workload within Launchpad and effectively communicate anticipated completion dates with the sales lead to manager customers expectations Ensure that all temporary works can be constructed in a safe and efficient manner. Produce drawings to communicate designs using AutoCAD and REVIT. Attend client meetings and carry out site visits. Accompany and supervise the attendance of assistant design engineers and design engineers on site for training purposes. Review briefs provided by the sales team through Launchpad Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize engineering processes, enhance product quality, and reduce costs. Qualifications required Civil/Structural Engineering Degree IEng/CEng MICE Experience required 5 Years Temporary Works Design Experience Industry experience required Experiencing mentoring / training teams Experience working for a supplier Experience designing Groundworks, Formwork & Falsework or Propping & Jacking
