Operations Manager | FMCG Logistics | Bury St Edmunds | £40,000 - £45,000
Our client is a European logistics business with over 10 sites across Europe. They specialise in the storage, blending & shipping of highly in-demand products within the consumer goods sector. Working Monday to Friday in Bury St Edmunds, you’ll help ensure the depot maintains excellent performance standards and will have responsibility over the site’s Quality Management systems in addition to traditional logistics management duties.
Note: The client is willing to train the Quality Management side if required, provided you have essential logistics management experience and some familiarity with food manufacturing quality processes.
Responsibilities
* Lead the inbound and operations teams; manage customer & supplier relationships
* Oversee internal & external quality auditing and ensure legislative compliance
* Coordinate logistics activities including shipping/imports & exports as applicable
What you’ll need
* Logistics management experience, ideally with exposure to shipping/imports & exports
* Experience supervising key logistics staff, including performance management and appraisals
* Exposure to quality systems, QMS, auditing or similar is highly beneficial
