The role
Bristol Renal is seeking a Senior Research Associate to work with Professor Welsh and Professor Saleem to develop new therapeutic agents for the treatment of chronic kidney disease. This project is funded by a pharmaceutical company initially for 15 months.
What will you be doing?
The role will involve working with glomerular cell lines, patient samples, and mouse models of chronic kidney disease to develop and test novel drug treatments for CKD. Techniques will include 2D and 3D glomerular cell culture, RNA and protein extraction, qPCR, Western blot, cellular signaling analysis, intravenous injection, urine collection, and tissue analysis by immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and electron microscopy.
You should apply if
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with experience in cell biology and the use of in vitro and in vivo models of disease. Experience working in kidney disease models would be desirable.
