Salary:£32,000 £36,000 DOE

About the Role
Axfar Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering and asset management company for aMechanical & Electrical Site Technicianbased inKilmarnock.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with experience in mechanical and electrical systems, particularly those involvingvalves, actuators, and flow control equipment. Youll work across various client sites, carrying out installation, servicing, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical assets.
This role is suitable for someone who enjoys variety, field-based work, and contributing to essential infrastructure projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation & Commissioning:Assemble, install, and commission valves, actuators, and associated mechanical and electrical systems.
* Maintenance & Repair:Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and component replacement on mechanical and electro-mechanical assets.
* Site Support:Complete accurate job sheets, maintenance records, and condition reports following site visits.
* Health & Safety:Follow company safety procedures and contribute to RAMS documentation; uphold safe working practices at all times.
* Customer Service:Represent the company professionally on-site, ensuring quality workmanship and client satisfaction.
* Teamwork:Support colleagues, share technical knowledge, and assist with training where required.
About You
* Proven experience within amechanical and electrical service or site technicianrole.
* Practical experience withvalves, actuators, penstocks, or pumping systems.
* Comfortable working outdoors and travelling to various sites (occasional overnight stays).
* Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
* Full UK driving licence essential.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
