Are you an experienced Painter and Decorator looking for a new exciting challenge? Look no further, this may just be the role you're looking for. You will be working for a very successful recreational facility close to Leigh. This role pays up to a salary of £27,000 and is an immediate start. Full time working hours 9am-5:30pm plus lots of benefits.
What will you be doing as a Painter & Decorator?
1. Mixing, matching and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces
2. To assist the assistant facilities manager to ensure that services and facilities operate effectively efficiently and safely
3. Assist in the planned preventative maintenance programme for the facilities
4. Ensure that all method statements and safe working practices are complied with
5. Ensure that resources are used efficiently
6. Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint
7. Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner
8. Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project
9. Calculating the number of materials and time required for projects
10. Removing fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers
11. Choosing and purchasing paint, brushes and other supplies from vendors
12. Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when a project is complete
13. Ensure standards of work are maintained, and tasks are completed within the given
14. timescales
We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
15. 3 years within a similar painter and decorating role
16. Previous experience working in a commercial environment, dealing with big buildings
17. Awareness of relevant health and safety legislation
18. A valid driving license
19. Spraying Certificate
20. First Aid at Work Certificate
21. Manual handling training
