GSL Education are seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a school in the Chapeltown (S35) area. As a Primary TA, your role includes assisting with classroom management, providing one-to-one or small group support, and helping pupils with additional needs or learning difficulties.
Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant:
* Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities across the primary curriculum.
* Assist pupils individually or in small groups to enhance their learning and confidence.
* Encourage positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional development.
* Help prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment.
* Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers as required.
* Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring inclusion and engagement.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working with primary-aged pupils is desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
