The Role
As our People & HR Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing support to our employees. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assist with all areas of recruitment
* Collating new starter documentation, ensuring all compliance documents (like Right to Work checks) are completed.
* Updating and maintaining employee records, ensuring that all information is accurate and compliant with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
* Inputting and updating data in HR software systems
* Support the People & HR Manager with preparation of payroll information
* Helping employees with our benefits and perks, assisting with enrollments and changes where necessary.
* Handling general HR queries from employees regarding policies, benefits, and HR processes.
* Assisting with the administration of disciplinary and grievance processes, including scheduling meetings and keeping records of proceedings.
* Helping with the preparation and documentation for performance reviews and appraisals.
* Ensure digital personnel filing systems are stored securely and are easy to retrieve.
* Assisting where necessary, with the preparation of HR reports for management, including turnover, absence, and recruitment data.
* Assisting in various HR projects such as diversity and inclusion programs, employee engagement surveys, or team‑building events.
* Staying updated with HR best practices, new laws, and emerging trends in the field.
Who are we looking for?
* Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for HR and a desire to make a difference.
* Expertise: Level 3 CIPD qualified
* Knowledge: Experience with HR & People systems and databases.
* Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams.
* Flexibility: An ability to balance remote work with in‑person collaboration across our sites.
* Driving licence: must have a full, valid, UK driving licence.
