*Job Summary*
We are seeking an awesome, skilled Dance Teacher to join our vibrant team in a principal teaching role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles (including acro) and possess the ability to inspire and motivate students of all ages (3-18 and adults). This role involves teaching dance classes, creating engaging lesson plans, and fostering a positive learning and nurturing environment that encourages creativity and confidence for our dancers. This is a full time position including working evenings and Saturdays. Some basic admin will also be expected but full training for this will be given.
*Responsibilities*
* Deliver high-quality dance instruction in a variety of styles, including ballet, modern, acro and more.
* Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of students at different skill levels.
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate improvement.
* Maintain a safe and welcoming studio environment for all participants.
* Organise and participate in performances, showcases, and competitions as required.
* Be able to work as part of a team and as an individual.
* Be a good role model in the school and our community.
* Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in dance education (CPD).
*Skills*
* Strong proficiency in multiple dance styles with previous knowledge of RAD and ISTD syllabus a great advantage.
* Excellent communication and people skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to adapt lessons as needed.
* Patience and enthusiasm for teaching diverse groups of students.
* Strong organisational skills to manage class schedules and student progress effectively.
* Previous teaching experience or relevant qualifications in dance education a must.
* experience teaching Acro and certification with a recognised body highly desirable.
* Full driving license preferred.
