King & Moffatt Building Services are seeking a Commercial Assistant to support the Commercial and Project Teams across our electrical and mechanical projects.
This role is ideal for a highly organised, detail-focused individual who is looking to build a career in the construction and engineering sector, with exposure to commercial management, cost control, and project administration.
What you would do
* Assist the commercial department with project cost control and reporting
* Support the preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation
* Help track project costs, budgets, and forecasts
* Assist with procurement administration and supplier queries
* Support the preparation of subcontractor payments
* Update spreadsheets, cost trackers, and project files
* Liaise with site teams, suppliers, and the finance department
* Ensure documentation is compliant with company and contractual requirements
Qualifications

* Strong organisation and administration skills
* Good level of numeracy and attention to detail
* Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word, and email
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Willingness to learn and develop
Additional Information / Desirable Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in construction, engineering, or commercial admin
* Knowledge of cost control or procurement
* Interest in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management
* Relevant qualification (e.g. Business, Construction, Engineering)
