We are committed to employing and training the best people. NZCL is looking for energetic and motivated individuals to support clients in Residential Services in Christchurch.
We seek permanent, full-time Support Workers to work alongside, coach, and mentor rangatahi and tamariki in our Intensive Support Services. The roster mainly involves night shifts, with some day and afternoon shifts.
What does a Support Worker do? - He aha te mahi a te Kaimahi Tautoko?
Support Workers assist rangitahi and tamariki to live as independently as possible in their community. Responsibilities include:
* Working as a team to ensure consistency
* Supporting tamariki or rangitahi to attend school or access education
* Monitoring and responding to health concerns, supporting overall health and wellbeing
* Helping rangitahi/young people work towards and achieve their goals

* A desire to support young people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes
* Previous experience working with young people/rangitahi
* Understanding of intellectual disability and autism
* Creative, team-oriented thinking
* A full NZ driver's licence
