Rutherford is partnered with a market-leading offshore law firm to recruit a Banking & Finance Solicitor (NQ–7 PQE) for its London office. The firm is globally recognised for its Tier 1 expertise across multiple offshore jurisdictions and is trusted by many of the world’s leading financial institutions, private equity houses, and investment managers.
The London team acts as a key hub for EMEA-facing work, delivering highly responsive, commercially focused advice on complex cross-border financing transactions. You’ll work on sophisticated matters drawing on Bermuda, BVI, Cayman Islands, Channel Islands, and Irish law, often alongside top-tier onshore counsel.
Key responsibilities
* Advise banks, funds, and financial institutions on a wide range of offshore banking and finance transactions.
* Support cross-border financings involving private equity sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, development finance institutions, and investment managers.
* Draft, review, and negotiate offshore law finance and security documentation.
* Work closely with onshore counsel to deliver seamless, joined-up advice on complex transactions.
* Manage client relationships directly, providing pragmatic, commercially attuned solutions.
* Contribute to business development and client initiatives within an international practice.
What you’ll bring
* NQ–7 PQE experience in banking and finance, gained at a leading offshore, international, or City firm.
* Strong technical skills and an interest in cross-border and offshore finance structures.
* Commercial mindset with the ability to see the wider transaction context.
* Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing directly with sophisticated global clients.
* A collaborative approach and desire to work within a truly international team.
