The role
As a Supply Chain Administrator, you’ll be a vital part of the Babcock Group Supply Chain team, helping ensure the seamless flow of goods and services across highly regulated, safety‑critical programmes. This is a role with real responsibility, visibility and impact supporting operational delivery while developing valuable supply chain and commercial skills within a world‑class engineering organisation.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
1. Supporting procurement activities by contacting suppliers, requesting pricing and placing purchase orders within agreed limits
2. Managing supplier order books and monitoring delivery milestones to keep projects on track
3. Maintaining accurate data through system updates, reporting and administration tasks
4. Coordinating with internal teams to support supplier performance and programme improvement plans
5. Building effective working relationships with stakeholders across the business and supply chain
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements, with the flexibility to work on site, and from home
Essential experience of the Supply Chain Administrator
6. Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
7. A proactive, self‑motivated approach with a positive, can‑do attitude
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. The ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
10. Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills across different areas of the business
Desired experience and skills:
11. Previous experience in procurement or supply chain.
12. Familiarity with ERP systems specifically Coupa.
Qualifications for the Supply Chain Administrator
13. GCSEs in Mathematics and English Language at Grade C / 5 or above
14. CIPS qualification or equivalent

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
