JOB DESCRIPTION
DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport Supervisor First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders and tracking transportation vehicles.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
1. Ensure all drivers have reported for shift and are briefed and de-briefed
2. To ensure an efficient Fleet operation complying with all company regulations
3. Daily communication with the Transport management team to ensure sufficient daily resources, working collaboratively with the warehouse to ensure all inbound / outbound loads are processed efficiency whilst safety and key control are maintained
4. Use of Transport systems to ensure all trip data is captured accurately, and within agreed timescales
5. Driver hours management to ensure maximum utilisation and profitability, within legal parameter
