About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CBT Therapist to join our growing multi-disciplinary team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients and their families, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapy. You will work with adults, adapting CBT techniques creatively to meet the needs of individuals with autism, ADHD, and related conditions. Alongside delivering therapy, you will contribute to diagnostic assessments and provide specialist family-based interventions. We will provide funded training in autism and ADHD diagnostic tools (e.g., ADOS and ADI-R) and in PACT, enabling you to expand your skills and contribute fully to our holistic, post-diagnostic care model.
Key Responsibilities
Therapeutic Practice
* Deliver evidence-based CBT to clients with a range of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, and challenges associated with neurodevelopmental conditions.
* Adapt CBT approaches to suit the communication, sensory, and cognitive profiles of neurodivergent clients.
* Engage clients and families in collaborative care planning and goal setting.
* Maintain a varied caseload that includes therapy, diagnostic input, and family interventions.
Diagnostic Pathway
* Contribute to autism and ADHD diagnostic assessments within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Undertake training in, and deliver, diagnostic tools such as ADOS and ADI-R.
* Provide input to diagnostic formulations, reports, and feedback sessions.
Specialist Interventions
* Deliver PACT to children and families following specialist training.
* Keep informed on, and apply, innovative approaches to supporting neurodiversity.
Professional Standards
* Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records.
* Engage in regular supervision, team meetings, and case discussions.
* Participate in ongoing CPD to enhance your clinical skills.
Teamwork & Service Development
* Build positive working relationships across the team and with external partners.
* Contribute ideas to enhance the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of services.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. BABCP)
* Experience delivering structured, evidence-based CBT to adults in a clinical setting.
* Experience working with clients with autism and/or ADHD.
* Skilled in conducting assessments and formulating evidence-based treatment plans.
* Strong communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
* Ability to adapt CBT interventions to suit neurodivergent clients
* Collaborative approach to working within a multi-disciplinary team.
Desirable
* Experience delivering humanistic therapies.
* Experience contributing to autism/ADHD diagnostic assessments.
* Experience delivering family-based or systemic interventions such as PACT.
* Familiarity with autism and ADHD diagnostic tools (ADOS, ADI-R).
