Hays have a temporary job opportunity for an Estates Maintenance Supervisor to work with a large public sector organisation based at a Greater Belfast facility. This organisation has a large estate spanning several acres with a range of buildings varying in ages, requiring a wide variety of engineering and building fabric maintenance services.
Your new role
This is a temporary contract for an initial period of months with the potential to extend.As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will have responsibility for the management of specific elements of estate buildings and engineering maintenance teams throughout a section of the organisation’s estate.Some of the key duties include:
1. To supervise and manage directly employed trade staff and external contractors on maintenance and servicing duties, including building, mechanical, electrical works, and promoting innovative solutions for continually recurring problems.
2. To allocate the best resources available, including external sub-contractors and directly employed staff on various emergency and infrastructure works, in all facilities across the estate and check forpleteness and quality of work.
3. To assist directly employed labour, external sub-contractors and Estates Officers to investigate and identify problems withplicated building fabric, plant and equipment and rmend the most suitable repair solution.

What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for this post you must meet the following criteria:Must hold a relevant building/construction or other related subject qualification at QCF or NQF Level 3 (or higher) together with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant post apprenticeship experience.OR A BTEC HND/C or equivalent in a building/construction or other related subject together with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant post apprenticeship experience.Experience required:
4. Working knowledge and experience in the maintenance ofplex building fabric, engineering plant and equipment.
5. Working knowledge and experience of undertaking tasks relating to building and engineering trade groups.
6. Carrying out directly or by contract repair, replacement and renewal of building fabric, engineering plant, equipment and services.
7. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and CAFM Systems.
A full UK Driving Licence.
What you'll get in return
This position offers full time hours, per week, Monday to Friday, based from a modern office working alongside a highly experienced and professional team of engineers and surveyors.Up to £34,500 pro rata on a PAYE basis. The rate of pay will depend on experience and qualifications. Annual leave entitlement of 27 days and 10 public holidays.
