The role
We are looking to recruit an additional Careers and Employment Coach to support the effective delivery of Herefordshire’s new Youth Employment Hub. The Hub provides access to information, advice, guidance, and support to young people aged 16-24 to help them gain skills and access education, training, and employment. It is located in Hereford city centre and operates on a hub and spoke model working with partners across Herefordshire. The project is delivered in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions.

What will you be doing?
Managing a caseload of young people aged 16 to 24, you will provide support, mentoring, and advice, building on their strengths, and empowering them to gain paid work, volunteering, further education, training, apprenticeships, or work experience. The Careers and Employment Coaches work closely with the Youth Employment Hub Coordinator and partner organizations to ensure comprehensive and suitable support options for the young people.
About You
* Experienced in working effectively with young people aged 16 to 24 seeking information and advice on education, training, employment, and related issues.
* Proficient in managing caseloads and achieving outcomes in a timely manner.
* Knowledgeable about youth unemployment challenges, especially for those facing barriers such as mental health issues, disability, young parenthood, care experience, and homelessness.
