Quality Assurance Manager
The Optronics & Missile Electronics (OME) team designs state‑of‑the‑art optronics and missile electronic solutions for defence and security platforms. As QA Manager you will support the programmes through a range of decisions during the project lifecycle, ensuring quality standards are met and customers are satisfied.
What the role has to offer
* Customer‑focussed, variety‑filled work engaging all parts of the business
* A dynamic role acting as the voice of the customer
* Hybrid working (3 days on site per week)
* Support for CQI membership and formal training (e.g., lead auditor training)
Day‑to‑day responsibilities
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will:
* Plan and perform project audits and surveillance activities according to the Project Quality Plans and audit strategy
* Act as the customer’s representative within the project or bid team, maximizing satisfaction and supporting actions
* Analyse reports to continually improve quality and ensure performance is managed and reported within project time‑scales
* Encourage and develop best practice, promote a quality culture and continuous improvement
About you
* Excellent organisational, time and project management skills to deliver on competing priorities
* Strong communicator and collaborator able to build relationships with key stakeholders
* Problem‑solver capable of resolving complex issues in varied contexts
* Ability to analyse, design and implement process improvements
* Critical thinker with sound judgement
Security clearance
