Job Type: Permanent, 37 hours per week / 38 weeks per year (term time only)
Join our dedicated team as a SEND Coach and play a pivotal role in preparing young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) for adulthood. Your enthusiasm, dedication, and motivation will be instrumental in shaping their futures through community-based educational outings and life skills coaching.
Day-to-day of the role:
Lead small groups of young people with SEND on outings within the community, including local parks, museums, and social activities, creating meaningful experiences.
Empower young people by teaching essential life skills such as communication, budgeting, time management, travel training, and self-advocacy.
Plan and execute outings that are not only educational but also enjoyable, ensuring that each activity caters to the needs of the group.
Monitor and report on the progress of individuals within your group, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs and abilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience working with young people with SEND in a coaching, teaching, or mentoring capacity.
