What does this role involve?
Joining the Infrastructure team, you will operationally manage and maintain IT infrastructure either on premises at a group location or deployed as cloud services. You will design and build new infrastructure to meet the needs of assigned projects. You will resolve incidents and problems within cross functional project teams and estimate / execute on infrastructure build, automate provisioning of components or upgrade existing infrastructure as needed by the business. Additionally, you will undertake IT project tasks and be available to work out of standard hours to support on-call and weekend requirements as per Infrastructure Support rota.
Who are we looking for?
Your knowledge of the design and operational management of IT Infrastructure environments, both in cloud and on prem, will be vital for success in this role. Your hands-on experience with VMWare or Hyper-V, Windows and Linux operating systems, storage and networking, will allow you to be productive from day one. Your excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills will be useful when communicating with various stakeholders within the business. Your experience with implementing and supporting cloud infrastructure (Azure) and an interest in expanding your skills in this area will be highly advantageous. To be successful in this role, you will be required to pass an enhanced security vetting process.
