Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Operations Coordinator for a well-established niche sector Freight company based in the Sunbury-on-Thames area.
Job Role:-
Reporting to the Duty Operations Manager, the Operations Agent is responsible for the day to day tasks within the operations department ensuring the smooth running of all shipments. Giving all clients this highest standard of customer service by keeping them updated on their shipments.
Duties:-
Provide effective communication to customers, overseas partners and other stations by email and telephone.
Maintain post flights and POD times to ensure we are meeting customer expectations.
Negotiating bookings with various overseas stations
Providing clients with continuous live shipments updates
Completing customs entries through an internal system
Effective internal communication between departments
Entering Import shipments on to the in-house system and printing collection/ delivery notes
Skills Required:-
Good attention to detail
The ability to communicate well and work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative.
IT Literate – confident user of PC’s
Ability to work under pressure
Customs Clearance - Preferred not essential
Freight Forwarding - Preferred not essential
