Role context:
This role is part of the UK HSBC Innovation Banking Events Team. As an Associate, you will support the team responsible for developing and managing our events programme: a core component of our marketing activities and a critical interface with the Innovation economy.
Role Responsibilities:
* Development, management, production, and delivery of events and sponsorships within your designated portfolio
* Deliver and manage events on time, within budget, and ensuring all events meet key objectives and KPIs
* Provide post-event ROI and wrap-up reports to evaluate success and identify improvement opportunities
* Provide expert knowledge, guidance, and support to your portfolio
* Develop, lead, and manage all aspects of sponsorships within your portfolio
* Attend industry events for networking and personal brand development
* Build and maintain relationships with senior team members
* Integrate thought leadership and existing business outputs into the events & sponsorship programme
* Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability
* Ensure compliance with bank policies, governance, and budget guidelines
Skills and Requirements:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with senior stakeholders
* Excellent execution, delivery, and attention to detail
* Experience managing events in a similar organization size
* Experience with Monday.com, Eloqua, Stova
* Banking experience in a similar role
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
* Excellent event and project management skills
* Results-oriented with outcome tracking and reporting abilities
* Ability to work within a complex matrix organization
* Positive attitude, problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision
* Understanding of the innovation ecosystem and key players
* Ability to think critically and probe for solutions
* Passion for banking industry, innovation, and the innovation economy
* Knowledge of risk management and regulatory frameworks including Consumer Duty
* Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly
* Collaborative, flexible, and team-oriented
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
