The Role:
This is a casual, flexible position centred around delivering outstanding service to our guests on race days, with additional dates available for the right candidate. As a Retail Bar or Hospitality Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing food and beverage operations, leading a team, and ensuring that our venues run smoothly and meet the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead a team to deliver consistent, high-quality food and beverage service
2. Provide top-notch customer service and ensure guests are always treated with professionalism and courtesy
3. Mentor and coach team members to improve performance and maintain high standards
4. Oversee the training and development of your team, ensuring they are fully briefed and operational
5. Manage staffing levels, breaks, and shift requirements to meet operational needs
6. Maintain stock levels and assist with stock rotation to prevent waste
7. Ensure cleanliness and compliance with Health and Safety, COSHH, and licensing policies
8. Resolve customer complaints quickly and professionally, in line with company policies
9. Promote a welcoming, happy atmosphere for guests and staff
10. Proactively drive sales and maximise business opportunities
11. Delegate tasks effectively to ensure operational efficiency
Skills & Qualities:
12. Proven experience in fast-paced retail or hospitality management
13. Strong leadership skills with an eye for detail and the ability to motivate teams
14. Excellent customer service and communication skills
15. Flexible and adaptable with a strong passion for service excellence
16. Ability to manage conflict and resolve issues calmly and professionally
17. Smart, professional, and well-presented at all times
18. Experience with operating tills and PDQ machines
19. Ability to work in all weather conditions with a positive attitude
The Ideal Candidate:
20. Previous experience in a high-end food and beverage or restaurant environment
21. Knowledge of licensing, food hygiene, and health & safety regulations
22. Personal License Holder (desirable)
23. Excellent organisational and planning skills
24. Proven ability to maximise sales and improve operational standards
25. Strong IT skills and ability to work with various systems
26. Ability to motivate and encourage team commitment
27. Positive, approachable, and team-oriented attitude
