ASD Experienced Teaching Assistant Required:
Location- Addlestone, Surrey
Start- February, 2026
Pay- £90-£100/day
The Role:
Teaching Personnel is looking for a motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work across a year 5 class of a mainstream primary school within the Addlestone area. The ideal educator would have experience working either 1-1 or within small groups of ASD students of primary age. It is for a very ASD heavy class, the successful educator will need to have pastoral skills as well as good firm behaviour management.
This role involves:
- Being aware and working with children with special education needs. (Providing face to face support to children with ASD.)
- Planning resources around the child’s needs, this could be on developing their learning in Maths and English through play or how they best learn.
- Skills and experience on keeping the child engaged with task and ensuring they can access the learning.
- Managing and implementing a range of behaviour strategies.
What we are looking for in an ASD teaching assistant:
-SEN experience (as teaching assistant, one-to-one or other)
-Applying skills to get pupils education back up to speed.
-Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide feedback.
-Experience with working with children that have challenging behaviour.
