The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join a major UK infrastructure programme, supporting the delivery of complex engineering activities across design, manufacture, construction, and commissioning within a highly regulated environment.

Nuclear, power generation, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, large-scale infrastructure, or other heavily regulated engineering sectors.
This role would suit candidates working in these roles
Project Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, Delivery Manager, Engineering Project Lead, Construction Project Manager, Programme Manager, Contracts Manager, or Senior Engineering Manager.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Lead and control a defined mechanical scope of work, managing interfaces across wider programme activities and supply chain partners.
Plan and deliver work packages safely and efficiently, ensuring progress against cost, schedule, quality, and technical requirements.
Develop and implement robust delivery strategies aligned to the overarching programme execution framework.
Manage contractors and resources, maintaining suitably qualified and experienced personnel and resolving capability gaps where required.
Track performance using detailed schedules and earned value principles, identifying risks and issues early and escalating where necessary.You will have the following qualifications and experience
Proven experience delivering engineering or construction projects within complex, highly regulated environments.
Strong capability in project controls, financial management, change management, risk, and scheduling tools.
Background managing contractors, consultants, and multi-discipline teams on large-scale projects.
Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, construction, or a related technical discipline.Get in touch now
