We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a business based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering stability and progression for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
* Raising and managing purchase orders
* Updating and maintaining jobs on the company haulage system
* Ensuring jobs are correctly processed prior to sales invoice generation
* Supporting the credit control function, including chasing outstanding debt
* Assisting with general finance administration and reporting
* Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate job costing and invoicing
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience in a finance, accounts or credit control role
* Strong understanding of purchase ledger and sales processes
* Experience working with job costing or haulage systems (desirable)
* Confident working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Good communication skills for internal and external queries
