Job Description
Due to continued growth, our Minworth site are now recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join the fast-paced and friendly team on a full-time permanent basis!
Currently located in Wolverhampton (WV4 6UD), this team are in the process of permanently relocating to Sutton Coldfield (B76 1AF) as of early Spring 2024. Therefore, the commute to Wolverhampton would be required for the first months of employment until the relocation process is fully complete.
As a Transport Administrator, you will contribute to the success of the site by ensuring customer queries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner and to the satisfaction of the customer. As mentioned, we pride ourselves on achieving a high standard of customer service excellence at all times and so excellent communication skills are a must for this position.
Key Duties of a Transport Administrator include:
* Arranging all outbound delivery bookings on behalf of our clients.
* Liaising with clients via email and telephone to arrange necessary bookings.
* Adding accurate delivery information to our transport management systems.
* Logging any delivery issues, delays or failures to assist with monthly reporting.
* Communicating professionally with clients and the team regarding any delivery issues, cancellations or delays.
* Producing packing and label instruction sheets via our Excel template.
* Updating confirmed bookings, transport and pricing information accurately on the internal system and customer web portals.
Qualifications
As a Transport Administrator you will possess the following skill, experiences and qualifications:
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with internal and external colleagues.
* Proven experience working with transport and hauliers would be desirable, but not essential.
* Strong data entry skills and attention to detail as you will use various platforms including websites, spreadsheets and warehouse systems.
* Proven ability to effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
* High level of numeracy is advantageous.
