Applications are invited from graduates with an Applied Biomedical Science (Hons) degree, or a Biomedical Sciences (Hons) degree accredited by the IBMS as suitable for training, or equivalent. Newly graduated candidates will be placed on Band 5 and will need to complete their Specialist Portfolio before progressing to Band 6.
Our modern, well-equipped laboratory serves NHS Grampian, providing services to a population of approximately 600,000 and conducting over 8 million tests annually. Successful candidates will participate in the out-of-hours rota once trained and competent.
The department is IBMS/HCPC approved as a training lab and is UKAS accredited. CPD activities are encouraged, and funding for postgraduate study is available.
