This is a standout opportunity for a junior lawyer (ideally 1–2 years PQE) from a respected City or strong regional firm to join a team that has been at the forefront of many of the most high-profile and complex restructuring and insolvency matters in recent years.
The successful candidate will work alongside a number of experienced partners and senior associates on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious work. The role will lean more towards contentious work but will involve:
* Advising on debt restructuring strategies and transactions
* Supporting the delivery of insolvency transactions
* Handling insolvency disputes, officeholder claims, and other contentious insolvency scenarios
* Advising public bodies on strategic issues involving actual or potential insolvencies
* Advising on the enforcement of security in non-consensual situations
The team advises a diverse client base, including financial institutions, corporates, insolvency practitioners, investors, and public sector bodies, across a wide range of sectors and jurisdictions. The work is intellectually challenging, fast-paced, and frequently cross-border.
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified solicitor with at least 1 year of experience in restructuring and insolvency law
* Solid understanding of finance and security documentation
* Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and experience preparing Insolvency Act applications
* Excellent academic credentials
