Ready to thrive in a practice where people and pets truly matter? We’re growing our friendly, forward-thinking team at Sittingbourne Vets for Pets – and we’d love you to be part of it. We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon who shares our values of kindness, respect, and putting pets and their people first. This is more than a job – it’s an opportunity to feel valued, supported, and part of a team that genuinely cares.
We’re a well-established practice with a loyal and growing client base. For over eight years, we’ve proudly delivered high standards of care in a warm and welcoming environment. Clients often tell us that we feel more like family than a clinic – and that’s exactly how we like it.
We’re owned and led by a vet and a veterinary nurse, which means we understand the real-life challenges of clinical work. Our leadership is grounded in compassion, honesty, and a deep respect for our people – and that shows in the culture we’ve created.
We’re a Practice Standards Scheme member, proud holders of a Good Client Service Award, and committed to making our practice feel like a place where both team members and clients feel seen and supported.
You’ll be joining a supportive team of 3 experienced vets, 5 fantastic RVNs, a VCA, and 4 friendly receptionists – all of whom believe in teamwork, learning together, and always making time for a good chat (and a slice of cake!).
We’re seeking a confident and approachable vet with at least 2 years’ experience in small animal practice. You’ll be:
We value flexibility and understand life outside work is important too. Whether you’re looking for full time or part time, we’ll work with you to find a rota that fits – including school hours if needed, and no out-of-hours. The role will include a weekend rota of 1 in 3 Saturdays (9:00am – 6:00pm).
We’re proud to be part of the Vets for Pets network, offering you the stability of a trusted brand with the feel of a close-knit independent practice.
At Sittingbourne Vets for Pets, you won’t just be a cog in the wheel. You’ll be a valued team member with a voice, the support to grow, and the space to develop your own interests and clinical passions.
If you’re looking for a team where compassion, humour, and teamwork are just as important as clinical excellence – led by people who genuinely get it – then we could be your perfect match.
We would love to hear from you – apply now and let’s start the conversation.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a fun, hardworking and motivated team, offering the chance to develop your own specialisms in a supportive environment. If we sound like a team, you'd like to be a part of, we would love to hear from you!
