Position: Science Teacher
Location: Woking, Surrey
We are a vibrant secondary school in Woking committed to academic excellence and the holistic development of our students. We pride ourselves on fostering curiosity, critical thinking and a passion for scientific exploration among all students.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our department. The successful candidate will teach across KS3, KS4 and KS5, delivering high-quality lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver and assess engaging, differentiated lessons in Science for Key Stages 3-5.
* Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring solid foundations in scientific principles and practical skills.
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to students to support their academic growth.
* Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to develop resources, share best practices, and maintain consistency in assessment.
* Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment, catering to students of diverse needs and abilities.
* Contribute to extra-curricular activities and science enrichment opportunities (e.g. clubs, competitions).
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or equivalent) and a degree in a science subject.
* Proven experience teaching Science at KS4; experience at KS5 preferred.
* Strong classroom management skills.
* Ability to engage and motivate students, fostering enquiry, confidence and resilience.
* Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
