Milk Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a caring and inclusive primary school in North Tyneside who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from 2026.

About the Position:
Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. The role may involve 1:1 support, small-group work and in-class assistance, depending on pupil requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing tailored support to pupils with SEN, including learning, communication or behavioural needs
Supporting pupils within the classroom and during structured activities
Delivering targeted support and intervention work as directed by teaching staff
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Supporting inclusion and helping pupils access the curriculum effectively
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Confidence supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
A flexible team player who can adapt to individual pupil needs
