Overview
We are looking for compassionate and resilient Waking Night Support Workers to join our dedicated team in supporting young people aged 8–16 in a residential children's home. You will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, calm, and supportive environment throughout the night.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
* Experience working with children or young people (residential care preferred)
* A calm, empathetic, and professional approach
* Ability to respond effectively to emotional distress or behavioral challenges
* Understanding of safeguarding, trauma, and child development
* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete)

Essential Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people (ideally in residential care)
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Ability to stay awake and alert throughout the shift
* Strong communication and de-escalation skills
Preferred/Desirable
* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
* First Aid training
* Knowledge of trauma-informed care or attachment theory
