Position Summary
Support the Service Manager and the Assistant Service Manager in supervising the Centralised Reception and Booking team across the two main sites. Provide a streamlined outpatient booking service that ensures efficient call handling and adherence to Access Policy rules.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the centralised booking team across all sites and specialities, delivering appointment choices in line with the 18‑week guidelines.
* Line‑manage training and development, mentor staff, and oversee personal development plans.
* Recruit, induct new staff, monitor performance, manage sickness, and arrange cover for annual leave in accordance with Trust policies.
* Ensure all outpatient bookings comply with Access Policy rules and that calls are answered promptly and efficiently.
* Collaborate with other clinical departments to support service development and achieve a fast, accurate clinic scheduling service.
* Compile and review staff rotas across the two main sites, ensuring adequate shift cover from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday‑Friday (extending to 6:00 pm if required).
* Maintain Trust policy compliance and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
