To our depot based in Castle Donington, we are looking for a person with previous mechanical experience to service and repair our equipment either in the depot or on the customer’s site.
Who we are looking for
To be successful in the role, you should have:
* Previous mechanical experience
* NVQ Level 3 or a suitable apprenticeship
* Good working knowledge of EHSQ
* Strong time management skills
* A UK driving license
As a Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining and repairing equipment
* Assisting in servicing plant equipment, especially pumps, within the depot
* Carrying out major repairs on equipment that require more intensive work
* Refurbishing end-of-life equipment to restore it to an as-new condition
Logistics and daily activities in the depot
* Loading and unloading pumps and generators onto delivery lorries using a Hi-Ab lorry-mounted crane and forklift truck
* Ensuring all equipment is serviced and maintained to a high standard
* Reporting major equipment issues to the Foreman/Depot Supervisor
Health & Safety / Compliance & Ethics
* Adhering to all health and safety procedures within the workshop environment
* Ensuring full compliance with all environmental health and safety protocols
* Following all quality, environmental, health, and safety directives, including PPE, accident reporting, risk assessments, RAMS, and ACE principles
