Are you a passionate Drama specialist ready to take the lead in Performing Arts? A School in Dagenham is looking for a dedicated and creative Head of Faculty - Performing Arts (Drama specialism) to join their team from September 2025.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a TLR 1B, offering the chance to lead a growing Performing Arts faculty that values creativity, inclusivity, and student engagement. You'll oversee curriculum planning, staff development, and enrichment opportunities across Drama, Music, and Dance - with a focus on delivering exceptional Drama teaching.
You'll be joining a school that celebrates the arts as an essential part of the student experience. From school productions to cross-curricular performances, your leadership will help bring the curriculum to life and inspire young people to express themselves through performance.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Performing Arts faculty, with a focus on Drama
* Oversee curriculum development, teaching, and assessment across Drama, Music, and Dance
* Support, mentor, and develop teaching staff within the faculty
* Direct and produce school performances, showcases, or productions
* Promote creative learning and the role of the arts in the school community
* Use data to monitor progress and drive attainment
* Collaborate with SLT on whole-school initiatives and strategic priorities
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Strong experience teaching Drama at KS3-KS4 (and ideally KS5)
* Previous leadership experience or clear potential to lead a faculty
* Ability to inspire and manage a team of creative practitioners
* Excellent planning, communication, and organisational skills
* A strong track record of student engagement and outcomes
* Passion for the performing arts and commitment to inclusive education
