Overview:
Robert Half is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a global business based in Ely in their search for an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an immediately available finance professional to join a dynamic and supportive environment, with a strong possibility of the role becoming permanent.
The Role:
This position sits within the finance team and primarily focuses on purchase ledger responsibilities, with additional exposure to bank reconciliations and month-end support. It's a hands-on role ideal for someone looking to grow their skills in a fast-paced business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Processing high-volume purchase invoices
2. Supplier statement reconciliations
3. Preparing and processing payment runs
4. Dealing with supplier queries in a professional and timely manner
5. Assisting with bank and account reconciliations
6. Supporting the finance team with month-end processes
7. Other ad hoc finance duties as required
The Ideal Candidate:
8. Immediately available or on a very short notice period
9. Proven experience in purchase ledger / accounts payable
10. Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
11. Comfortable working in a high-volume environment
12. Confident with MS Excel and finance systems (experience with ERP systems a plus)
13. Team player with a proactive attitude
Remuneration:
14. £13 - £15 per hour (dependent on experience)
15. Holiday Pay
16. On-site working with some hybrid working available (Ely office)
