Senior Copywriter Location -Central London (Hybrid) Contract – Inside IR35 Salary - Market Rate We are partnering with a well-established UK retail bank headquartered in Central London to hire a Senior Copywriter with strong regulatory content and social media monitoring experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a customer-focused financial institution operating in a highly regulated environment. This role sits at the intersection of regulatory compliance, brand communications, and customer experience, requiring a highly detail-oriented writer who can translate complex financial regulations into clear, customer-friendly language while maintaining strict compliance standards. Key Responsibilities * Write, edit, and review accurate, regulator-approved content for UK banking products and services, ensuring compliance with FCA, PRA, Consumer Duty, SMCR, Payment Services Regulations, and UK GDPR requirements. * Translate complex regulatory, legal, and risk disclosures into plain English without compromising regulatory intent. * Produce content across multiple formats including product disclosures, Terms & Conditions, Key Information Documents (KIDs), policy documentation, FAQs, customer communications, and digital banking content. * Ensure alignment with internal compliance frameworks, risk policies, and approved legal terminology while maintaining brand tone and consistency. * Monitor social media channels using tools such as Hootsuite to track customer sentiment, complaints, emerging conduct risks, and reputational issues. * Analyse monitoring dashboards and reports to generate actionable insights for Compliance, Risk, Product, and Customer Experience teams. * Write and edit promotional and product marketing copy that meets both legal and brand standards. * Adapt tone of voice across channels and audiences. * Edit and proofread content produced by other team members. * Coordinate with content management specialists, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders across multiple geographies. * Provide proactive stakeholder communication and project updates. Skills & Experience Required * Proven experience as a Senior Copywriter within UK financial services or banking. * Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks and conduct requirements. * Demonstrated experience producing compliant product and regulatory content. * Ability to simplify complex financial and technical information for customer audiences. * Experience using social media monitoring tools (e.g., Hootsuite) within a regulated environment. * Strong proofreading skills and familiarity with editorial style guides. * Experience working with content management systems. * Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
