Location: Buttershaw / Hybrid Working (1-2 days in the office a week – Bradford)

As part of Yorkshire Water's growing enterprise architecture capability, the Enterprise Architect for Asset Management & Capital Delivery will play a pivotal role in shaping and aligning technology strategy with business objectives across the domain.
Part of our Business and Technology Architecture Team, this role will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance and assurance across the design of end-to-end solutions, with particular focus on for asset management and capital delivery domains. The role will also be responsible for delivering and maintaining the relevant technology roadmaps.
The successful candidate will ideally bring strong knowledge of asset management practices, ideally within the utilities sector and have demonstrable experience with enabling technologies such as SAP and GIS. They will be a confident communicator, capable of translating complex technical concepts into business-oriented discussions and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders across business and technology teams.

As an Enterprise Architect at Yorkshire Water, you will:
* Lead the development and maintenance of our technology roadmaps aligned to business strategy and initiatives.
* Provide architectural oversight and guidance across the enterprise portfolio, focusing on the asset management and capital delivery domains.
* Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders, ensuring architectural decisions support long-term business and technology goals.
* Ensure enterprise architectures align with other technology strategies such as cloud, applications, platforms, data and security.
* Stay abreast of emerging technology trends such as AI, Automation and Digital Transformation and the opportunities to drive innovation.
* Assess high level business requirements and capability improvements against existing enterprise technologies and/or identify new solutions in collaboration with architecture peers, framework partners, and product vendors.
* Deliver business cases for future investment in cost effective solutions that align with the domain roadmap and strategic business outcomes
* Develop and champion architectural standards, governance, and best practices across the domain.
* Work with Enterprise Architecture peers to ensure a 'one architecture' approach across all domains, including operational technologies (OT domain)
* Provide leadership and guidance to colleagues across the portfolio to deliver end-to-end solutions.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
* Communication - Excellent communication skills are a must, with the ability to convey complex design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Collaboration – A proven ability to build strong relationships, work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to map business requirements to technology capabilities, new features and potential solutions
* Domain expertise –Experience delivering solutions within the asset management and/or capital project domains.
* End-to-End Architectures – Experience mapping complex architecture viewpoints for relevant stakeholders, primarily focused on functional and process orientation landscapes. This should include a solid understanding of modern integration patterns and technologies
* Design leadership – Leading architecture governance and decision-making forums to provide the appropriate level of guidance, challenge and support for their responsible domain.
* Architecture tooling – experience creating and managing enterprise and solution architecture artefacts within an enterprise architecture tool (such as LeanIX)
* Architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF) is desirable but not essential
* A strategic thinker who is willing to grasp new challenges quickly, has strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to operate confidently across all levels of the organisation.
