Location: 23-Bed Rehabilitation Service, Bury St Edmunds
Salary: From £13.00 per hour (PAYE inclusive) + Uplifts for nights and weekends. Please note rates for this role will be paid PAYE we are unable to pay via Limited Company or Umbrella.
Shift Pattern: Flexible shifts to suit your schedule, Long Days and Nights available.
Role Overview: As a Mental Health Healthcare Assistant, you will work across two wards, delivering person-centred care and therapeutic interventions. You'll play a key role in helping residents on their journey towards recovery and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide personalised support to women with Personality Disorders, including Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD).
2. Implement individualised care plans and therapeutic interventions.
3. Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, medication management, and meal preparation.
4. Facilitate group activities, therapy sessions, and recreational outings.
5. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and occupational therapists.
6. Maintain accurate records of observations and interventions.
Requirements:
7. Previous experience in mental health or rehabilitation settings, particularly with Personality Disorders or EUPD, is highly desirable.
8. Reliable, punctual, and able to meet scheduled commitments.
9. Compassionate, non-judgemental approach to supporting individuals with complex needs.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
11. Commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and autonomy for all residents.
12. Car Driver would be beneficial due to service location
