You will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the home, including staff leadership, occupancy growth, quality assurance, financial performance, and regulatory compliance with CQC standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strong and effective leadership to the nursing home team
* Ensure the home operates in full compliance with CQC standards and all relevant regulations
* Oversee the development and delivery of person-centred care to all residents
* Manage staff recruitment, retention, training, and professional development
* Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive culture for both staff and residents
* Monitor and improve occupancy levels, ensuring financial viability and growth
* Build strong relationships with residents families, local authorities, and external stakeholders
* Lead regular audits and inspections to maintain high standards of care and service delivery
* Maintain accurate records and produce regular reports for senior management
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience managing a large care or nursing home
* In-depth knowledge of CQC standards, care legislation, and compliance frameworks
* Proven skills in staff management, including recruitment, development, and performance monitoring
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities
* Commercially aware, with experience in budget management and occupancy growth
* Passionate about delivering outstanding care and enhancing the homes community reputation
* Ability to lead by example, motivate teams, and promote a positive working environment
Desirable:
* NMC registered nurse (RGN/RMN) with relevant post-registration experience (preferred but not essential)
