We are seeking a proactive and motivated Warehouse Team Leader to guide and support a team of warehouse operatives in meeting daily operational requirements. You will play a key role in planning workloads, maintaining high standards, and ensuring a safe, well‑organised working environment.
Working hours - 1pm - 10pm (45 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities
As Warehouse Team Leader, you will:
* Motivate, support, and manage the warehouse operative team.
* Plan and organise workloads, especially during manager absence, working to strict deadlines and prioritising tasks based on business need.
* Conduct investigations and uphold company policies and procedures.
* Liaise confidently with senior colleagues and other departments including Customer Service.
* Contribute to discussions about new processes, responsibilities, and continuous improvements.
* Process customer collections and manage courier software for orders and parcels.
* Safely operate a forklift truck for unloading containers and stock movements.
* Maintain excellent housekeeping, stock rotation, and condensing.
* Allocate new master bin locations for incoming stock lines.
* Act as a site key holder, ensuring premises are secured when required.
* Manage team absences, including receiving sickness calls and completing return‑to‑work documentation.
* Monitor and support the fire drill procedure.
* Carry out and record forklift truck checks and maintain awareness of business-wide departmental functions.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Strong understanding of Marketing Boards, Re‑work processes, and Export functionalities.
* Valid FLT licence.
* Good IT literacy and computer skills.
* Strong knowledge of workplace health & safety.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proven leadership abilities with experience motivating and organising teams.
Desirable
* Experience in additional warehouse or cross-functional operations.
