Private Rented Services Officer - fixed term until 31/05/

Hours: 36 per week
Assist in the delivery of high quality, customer focus outcomes in relation to the licensing function on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council.
In particular the post holder will carry out a range of duties including providing advice, information and guidance to customers and partners; conducting property inspections; and carrying out investigations and enforcement activities to ensure landlords comply with all relevant legislation.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring that they operate in accordance with all relevant legislation and follow all licensing policies and procedures.
This position is subject to Basic Disclosure check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
