About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic science teacher to join our secondary school in West Bromwich. The successful candidate will teach science to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to contribute to post-16 teaching if desired. You will play a vital role in inspiring students to develop a passion for science and achieve excellent academic outcomes.
Role Resposnibilites:
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and reports.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates students.
* Contribute to the development and enrichment of the science curriculum.
* Support and supervise practical work and experiments safely.
* Participate in departmental meetings and school events.
* Promote good behaviour and support school policies.
Role Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
* Degree in a science subject (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching science at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
* Strong subject knowledge and up-to-date understanding of the science curriculum.
* Effective classroom management skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
