Bid Manager Salary: £50,000 £75,000 per annum Location: London / South East (Hybrid working available) About the Role: A leading UK construction contractor is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join their pre-construction/commercial team. The role involves managing the end-to-end tendering process, producing high-quality, compliant bid submissions that help secure new contracts across public and private sector projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification to submission and post-submission review. Develop compelling bid strategies, win themes, and content tailored to client requirements. Coordinate input from technical, commercial, estimating, planning, and delivery teams to produce high-quality bids. Maintain bid trackers, schedules, templates, and content libraries to ensure efficiency and consistency. Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, and supply chain partners throughout the bid process. Conduct bid reviews, risk assessments, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement. Candidate Requirements: Proven experience as a Bid Manager (or similar) within construction, infrastructure, or property sectors. Strong understanding of the tender process including PQQ/SQ, RFP, and ITT submissions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple bids to strict deadlines. Proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach.
