We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a qualified Sonographer to join our friendly, passionate, and supportive team at West Suffolk Hospital’s NHS Foundation Trust (WSFT).
We are expanding our team to support the opening of our new CDC at Newmarket Community Hospital at the end of 2024. The successful candidate will work across various WSFT sites, including Newmarket, Thetford, Botesdale, and Sudbury, on a rotational basis (locations negotiable depending on geography and travel ability).
The candidate must be self-motivated, diligent, and committed to providing excellent patient service. Responsibilities include obtaining high-quality ultrasound images and diagnostic reports within hospital and community settings.
You Will Be Responsible For
* Autonomously producing high-quality ultrasound images and diagnostic reports.
* Maintaining high standards within the ultrasound team.
* Training and supervising staff, including supporting new staff during induction.
* Teaching and promoting awareness of policies and protocols.
* Participating in and supporting the governance programme, including ultrasound audits.
* Participating in the ultrasound QA programme.
* Ensuring departmental administration and organization are maintained.
* Caring for patients, maintaining dignity and addressing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs.
* Keeping mandatory training up to date.
* Carrying out delegated tasks from the Service Manager.
