Job Description Sales Manager – Automotive Retail Location: Croydon Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Basic Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 On-Target Earnings (OTE): £56,000 – £64,000 Working Hours: 45 hours per week Schedule: Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Saturday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Every other Sunday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm Day off in the week: Thursday Includes weekends About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager to lead our automotive sales team in Croydon. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Performance: Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to consistently exceed performance targets and deliver a premium customer experience. Customer Engagement: Drive high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring all digital and in-person enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally. Operational Management: Oversee daily showroom operations, ensuring all administrative processes (e.g. profit and loss reporting, stock allocation, vehicle call-offs) are completed accurately and efficiently. Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor team members to support both individual career growth and overall business performance. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to FCA guidelines and internal compliance standards, while managing forecasts, KPIs, and reporting to senior management and manufacturer partners. Brand Standards & Presentation: Maintain a high standard of showroom presentation, ensuring all vehicles and marketing materials align with brand expectations. Sales Meetings & Strategy: Lead engaging and informative daily meetings to energise the team, share updates on new vehicles, offers, and campaigns, and reinforce performance priorities.
