Your Role & Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an eager-to-learn Assistant Brand Manager to support the Impulse brand in Europe and rest of world. This role reports into the Impulse Brand Lead. The job will require working with multiple partners, including our agencies, along with functions across the wider team.

Impulse is a brand with a rich heritage and is much loved by the consumers today- they have helped us maintain a strong position in the body fragrance market.

Exciting and fast-paced, this will be a busy and dynamic environment where you will be expected to work collectively with teams across the business to unlock the power of our brand for both consumers and the customer. This is a wide encompassing role that spans the full marketing spectrum, supporting the brand positioning and strategy, communication and campaign development, audience definition and media planning through to crafting long term innovation strategy, supporting innovation projects and in-market activation incl shopper toolkits, as well as supporting with the sell-in to retailers. A passion for consumer understanding will be key, as we seek to lead with emotionally connecting communication and insightful functional product performance. You will need to work particularly closely with commercial, finance, and supply chain teams internally as well as external agency partners, balancing short term growth and delivering against forecasts, against longer term strategic thinking.

1. Brand Strategy & Positioning Support

* Assist in ensuring that Impulse maintains a clear and compelling brand proposition - helping to craft the next 3-5 year strategy of the brand.
* Help embed the brand purpose and personality into all activity by supporting brand guardianship across teams and touchpoints.

2. Audience Understanding & Communication Planning

* Work closely with media and digital partners to help define and refine Impulse's target audience.
* Support the development of the media and channel strategy, and help bring campaign assets to life across platforms.

3. Turning Insights into Action

* Collaborate with the insight and analytics teams to track trends, gather performance learnings, and contribute to consumer and market understanding.
* Monitor competitor activity and share actionable insights with the team.

4. Innovation & Renovation Support

* Assist in the delivery of the innovation pipeline, including helping to manage cross-functional teams, manage timelines, pull together gate-documents to share in monthly innovation boards, artwork, sample delivery, and product information.
* Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution from ideation to launch.

5. Campaign Development & Activation

* Support the development and execution of creative campaigns across media, digital, social, and in-store.
* Brief agencies, review creative, and help manage the approval process and campaign asset rollout.
* Help organise and deliver brand activations and sampling programs.

6. Performance Tracking & Analytics

* Track key brand and campaign metrics, contributing to post-campaign reviews and performance dashboards.
* Assist in analysing brand performance and identifying key takeaways and opportunities.

7. Budget & Forecasting Support

* Support the team in managing marketing budgets, raising POs, and tracking spend.
* Assist with volume forecasting, working with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate planning.

8. Retailer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Work closely with shopper marketing, sales, and commercial teams to support customer presentations and in-store activations.
* Help ensure plans align with retailer strategy and deliver consistent brand execution across channels.

What You'll Need to Succeed

* 1-3 years’ experience in marketing roles, ideally within an FMCG environment.
* Exposure of how consumer insight fuels brand strategy, communication and innovation.
* Exposure to communications development, including testing, asset creation, and media planning and execution.
* A clear understanding of the digital landscape, especially social media and/or search planning, buying or measurement.
* Strong analytical skills – able to interpret data, draw out insights and shape a story or hypothesis.
* Experience supporting or managing parts of the end-to-end innovation process, ideally from idea through to launch.
* (Ideal but not necessary) A working knowledge of the UK retail mass market, with an understanding of how brand comms link to in-store and e-commerce execution.
* (Ideal but not necessary) Commercial awareness across areas such as promotional planning, pricing, shelf space, retail calendars, and sell-in.
* Experience managing or working with external agencies and cross-functional teams, keeping projects moving and stakeholders aligned.
* Comfortable communicating with a range of stakeholders, and adapting to their style accordingly.
