Solihull College & University Centre is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of School Adult Skills to drive innovation and excellence across our adult learning provision. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team and make a real impact on learners and communities.
As Head of School, you will have strategic and operational responsibility for all aspects of adult skills provision, including:
* WMCA and Warwickshire ASF funded programmes
* Short courses for into-employment and upskilling
* Skills Bootcamps
* Adult English & Maths
* Tailored learning projects and distance learning
You will lead curriculum development, quality improvement, and recruitment strategies, ensuring outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment. Working closely with industry partners, you will secure employability skills, placements, and opportunities for learners, while driving growth and innovation in new markets.
You will hold a degree or equivalent industry qualification, with a teaching qualification being essential. Proven FE management experience with a strong vocational knowledge of adult programmes and a track record of improving teaching and learning and leading successful teams are required. Excellent communication, leadership, and networking skills and the ability to manage change, develop curriculum, and deliver high-quality outcomes is essential to this role.
Possession of a Management qualification (ILM/CMI), knowledge of FE reforms, funding streams, and OFSTED framework and Employer engagement experience are desirable.
