Power Supply Design and Test Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Power Supply Design and Test Engineer to join a global semiconductor company in Cambridge. As a Power Supply Design and Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of power supply solutions for advanced semiconductor and system‑level applications. The role will combine hands‑on design work with extensive laboratory testing and characterisation to ensure robust, high‑performance power solutions.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop AC/DC and DC/DC power supply circuits and reference designs
* Carry out detailed laboratory testing, characterisation, and validation of power solutions
* Support bring‑up, debugging, and optimisation of power supply designs.
* Collaborate with applications, silicon design, and systems teams to support product development
* Contribute to documentation, test reports, application notes, and design reviews
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
* Strong experience in power electronics and power supply design
* Hands‑on experience with lab equipment for testing, debugging, and validation
* Knowledge of semiconductor power devices and power management ICs desirable
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a practical, hands‑on approach
